Chris Stapleton hosts pop-up store at The George Jones

Each year, CMA Fest brings country music fans together with their favorite artists. The George Jones is contributing to the spirit of the weekend by bringing fans closer to Chris Stapleton through an exclusive pop-up store, open only June 7–10 from 10 a.m.– 6 p.m.

After watching Stapleton’s performances at the 2018 CMT Music Awards and Marty Stuart’s Late Night Jam at the Ryman Auditorium on June 6, fans can visit the Grammy award-winning artist’s pop-up store at The George Jones’ downtown Nashville location and purchase unique finds such as exclusive merchandise, custom YETI coolers, Louisville Slugger bats and more.

In addition to its Smokehouse BBQ restaurant and rooftop view, The George Jones is home to the George Jones Museum, which highlights the life and career of George Jones, as well as his lasting effect on Nashville and country music history. In 2015, Stapleton celebrated the country music icon by covering “Tennessee Whiskey,” a song originally recorded by David Allen Coe but made a hit by George Jones in 1983. Stapleton’s cover boasts over 230 million views and connects the two artists with a modern twist.

Since releasing this cover, Stapleton has racked up numerous prestigious awards, including three Grammy awards (Best Country Album for From A Room: Volume 1, Best Country Song for “Broken Halos” and Best Country Solo Performance for “Either Way”), two CMA Awards (Album of the Year for From A Room: Volume 1 and Male Vocalist of the Year) and three Billboard Music Awards (Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album for From A Room: Volume 1). Following the success of his last two albums, certified platinum From A Room: Volume 1 and certified gold From A Room: Volume 2, Stapleton will be performing during CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, June 9 at 10:30 p.m. before hitting the road for his “Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show” tour.

Stapleton’s increasing prominence makes the news of this pop-up store even more exciting. Overlooking the CMA Fest Riverfront stage, The George Jones is central to all the action of CMA Fest, making it easy to get to for fans looking to show their pride in his well-deserved success throughout the weekend.
