Keith Urban to Headline Nashville’s New Year’s Eve Show Yet Again

For a fourth consecutive year, country star Keith Urban will help Nashville ring in the New Year.

A star-studded lineup for Music City’s Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve includes Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit alongside his wife, the Highwomen member Amanda Shires. The music will begin with a performance by the Fisk Jubilee Singers, followed by English rock band the The Struts. Urban will headline the event, which is set to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville.

“From the very beginning, our goal was to have a long-term partnership with Keith, and, as we expected, his leadership, talent and involvement has been invaluable to the event’s success,”Butch Spyridon, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., tells The Tennessean.

“As you would expect from a consummate professional like Keith, every year the show is completely different and fresh, and we can’t wait to see what he brings to ring in 2020,” he adds.

The show will continue the tradition of having a music note drop instead of a typical ball drop, accompanied by a standard fireworks display.

Last year’s show was a huge success, having been featured during NBC’s New Year’s Eve national broadcast. The show also brought out many people to enjoy the celebration and music, with 175,000 to 200,000 people in attendance, according to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.

The gates for this year’s show will open at 4PM and admission is free for the public.
